Student Portal Terms

Version 1.0 · Effective August 26, 2026

This page is for students using Taalim. It is short and written in plain language, because you should actually be able to read it.

How you got here

Your consulting company gave you access to Taalim, either by creating your account or by giving you an invite code. Your account belongs to their workspace.

Your consultants can see what you do here. That includes your profile, the documents you upload, your practice sessions and scores, your essay drafts, and the feedback the AI gives you. That is the point of the platform: they are helping you with your applications. But you should know it, not discover it.

Your account

Keep your password to yourself. Do not share your login, and do not let anyone else use your account. If you think someone else has your password, change it and tell your consultant.

Use your real information. Your applications depend on it being right.

The AI can be wrong

Taalim uses AI for tutoring, university matching, and essay feedback. It is useful, and it is not always right.

Always check anything that matters on the university's own website. Deadlines, tuition fees, entry requirements, and scholarship rules change, and the version you see here can be out of date. If the platform and the university's website disagree, the university is right. Missing a deadline because a page here was stale is a real risk, so check before you rely on it.

Match categories, score estimates, and probabilities are planning tools. They are guesses, not predictions.

About essays

The essay tool gives you feedback on writing you did. It does not write your essay for you. That is a deliberate design decision, and it protects you.

Universities take this seriously. Submitting an essay you did not write can get your application rejected, and if it is discovered later, an offer can be withdrawn or an admission cancelled after you have already started. That consequence lands on you, not on the platform or your consultant.

Use the feedback to make your own writing better. Then write it yourself.

Practice and exams

Practice questions and mock exams are for studying. They are not real test materials, and an estimated score here is not your official score.

Do not use the tutor during a real exam, or during any test where you have been told to work on your own. That is cheating, and it can cost you far more than the test.

Nobody here can promise you a result

Taalim cannot promise you admission, a scholarship, a visa, or a test score. Neither can your consulting company, and neither can we. Universities and governments make those decisions. Anyone who guarantees you an outcome is not being honest with you.

What this platform can do is help you find good options, keep track of deadlines, practice properly, and write better essays.

What not to do

  • Do not upload anything that is not yours to upload.
  • Do not try to reach other students' information.
  • Do not upload files designed to break or attack the platform.
  • Do not copy the university and scholarship database for use somewhere else.

If you do these things, your access can be removed.

Your information

We store your profile, your documents, your practice history, and your essays. Our Privacy Policy explains all of it, including which AI providers see your essays and tutoring messages, and which do not see your uploaded documents at all.

Some documents delete themselves. If you upload a passport, an identity document, a bank statement, or a passport photo, it is automatically deleted after 180 days. That is on purpose. The safest place for your passport scan is not on someone's server.

To see, correct, or delete your information, ask your consulting company first. They control your record and can do it directly. If they do not respond, write to privacy@taalimapp.com and we will help.

If you are under 18

Many students using Taalim are under 18. If you are, a parent or legal guardian needs to read this page and agree to it with you before you use the platform. When you signed up, you were asked to confirm that. Your consulting company is also responsible for making sure that consent exists.

If you are a parent or guardian and you want to know what is stored about your child, contact their consulting company, or write to privacy@taalimapp.com.

Changes

If we change this page in an important way, we will tell you inside the platform before it takes effect. The version and date at the top show which version you are reading.
